The men and women of law enforcement risk their lives every time they put on the uniform. Civilians believe that the uniform offers immunity to the evils of life. But, all the bulletproof vests and riot gear in the world can not protect even the toughest and smartest officers from the violence and hatred that they must deal with on a daily basis. The families of these officers live in the shadow of knowing that, someday, something could go wrong. When a tragedy does occur, there is an outpouring of support from every possible source. But when the trial is over, and the headlines are gone, the families are left to cope with their loss alone. This page is meant to let the families know that they will never be forgotten.

These brave men and women have sacrificed their lives to protect the life of a total stranger. That is a debt that can not be repaid in this lifetime. The commitment to protect society without regard to oneself is a rare and honorable quality. Rest assured, they will not be forgotten.

A Policeman's Prayer

Oh, Almighty God whose great power and eternal wisdom embraces the univers, watch over all policeman and law enforcement officers. Protect them from harm in the performance of their duty to stop crime, robberies,riots, and violence we pray. Help them keep our streets safe day and night. We recommend them to your loving care because their duty is dangerous. Grant them you Almighty Protection, and unite them safely with their families after duty has ended. Amen.

Dear Lord, be with me on my beat

this day and every day

Grant that each weary block I walk

may ease a brothers way.

Let me be kindly to the old

and to the young, be strong-

But let me triumph over those

whose acts are cruel and wrong.

And if according to your plan,

I am to lose my life,
